Aurora

Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 on the 15th of June, 1996 from Stavanger) is a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, was released in May of 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of bloggers in the music industry and media. She has recorded several high-profile covers, such as Half the World Away (by Oasis) for the Christmas advert. Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) that are widely loved. Katy Perry, who endorsed the tune Runaway with her voice, gave her the track a little more attention. Enjoy the celebration of this special event. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memory involves finding a small piano that was in her basement and becoming enthralled by the sounds it made. Her parents May-Britt along with Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to pursue music not as a career or hobby but for growth. She began writing songs of her own. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as influences as well as a love for Bjork's style. After her mother said that the songs she wrote might not gain fame for her however, but to encourage people to realize their own value and impact in the world, she started singing them in public. Piano was her first instrument when she was six. She started making music at the age of nine. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she told her parents. Aurora isn't something she imagined as a child. The singer says that she simply likes creating music. She believes that music is the most effective method to experience anything.
